Management $90
Lymphedema/Lipedema
Management $90
Lymphedema is a chronic, but manageable condition involving protein-rich fluid accumulation in the tissues.
Lymphedema often develops as a result of treatment for cancer.
Lymphedema can also result from Chronic Venous Insufficiency, obesity, trauma, or from an inborn genetic predisposition.
Lipedema is a fat and connective tissue disorder that is often mistaken for obesity and may involve complex physiologic dysregulation such as MCAS, pain, and easy bruising. Its clinical diagnosis is an adipose tissue disorder or a lipid metabolism disorder. Lipedema fat is unresponsive to standard diet and exercise. These measures may lead to weight loss in other areas, but the size of the hips and legs remains disproportionately large.
